Works great for my project. Has a fairly long stroke and good force. My only negative comment, and hence 4 stars instead of 5, is that it states 400ma...I have no idea what this refers to! 400ma applied to the coil won't do a thing. You need 2 full amps to get this solenoid to fire. Maybe 400ma will hold it once pulled in, but I have not tried a two stage current application. At any rate, it's a good solenoid and I am going to keep adding them to my project.

Works well, does get hot though with continuous use. Didn't seem to get hot when I finally matched it with a LED 12 volt power supply. Either way it isn't a problem where I mounted it.

You know, I just bought one of these... So I may have just got a bad one... But only worked slightly if I pushed the pin in about an eighth of an inch. I got more striking power from a solenoid 1/4 it's size. Sad... Not to mention I hate having to go through all the trouble of sending stuff back that didn't cost much to start with... My loss.

This is NOT a 400mA solenoid. It actually has a resistance closer to 4 ohms and will draw nearly 3 amps! Do not buy!

It did not work and I sent it back.
