I love these capsules. They don't dissolve like the API ones while you're trying to get them in the substrate. If you pinch them and let the air out, they do not float. I've been using these about 3 months now, and have not had any come back up. My plants are all looking very healthy and green, and are growing much faster now. Also super cost effective!

I really like these as a supplement to liquid fertilizers. I think they really helped my new plants root. That being said, you really have to make sure they go deep into your substrate or else they will float, bloat, and explode all over your tank.

The caps like to float and don't always stay buried very well. Or a couple days later, a weird greenish bubble will be coming up out of the sand. It's not a big deal, really, you just push it back down. Now I just squeeze them and bend them in half before stuffing them under the substrate. Gets most of the air out, lets a little water in easier - seems to help them stick. Otherwise, plant growth seems good so I keep using them. I also like that they're easy to open if I'm setting up a new tank I just open a few and sprinkle the innards down before I put substrate in.

Has supercharged my aquatic plant growth. Just be sure to bury tabs as deep as possible to avoid clouding the water. Works great!

These are definitely a pain to use as intended. They want to float and are a hassle. BUT, even though I would order them again, just break them open and dump into a bottle of water and use as a great liquid fertilizer.

My plants love it! I take a needle and carefully poke a tiny hole in both sides of capsule before I bury it in the substrate. That way it doesn't try to float up especially in sand substrate.

These things work really well from I can tell about them. My plants always look great. Although I do use aqua soil. I freeze it and then insert into root area. However I do not go without these for too long. Compared to API Root Tabs you get quadruple the amount for the same price (more than quadruple I believe) and Ive never had a bad experience with this. In face the capsule is easier to put in as soon as the API brand hits the water starts dissolving (not bad but you can see it start) but with the thrive caps no such dissolving. A+++

These work awesome. They're working much better than the other big brand names I won't mention. Only problem is they are capsules, and they float. Not as bad as osmocote tabs, these are a little heavier, but they need to weigh them down more.
