The things I did not like about this product is that it severely discolors the water to the point where it looked like red wine by the last day of treatment and you can barely see through it. It said on the box that it would cause a slight discoloration of the water but I did not expect it to be so extreme. I also needed to use a net to scoop off the foam because it was very thick and frothy (think like foam on a latte but grosser and purple) several times a day. I just did my final water change and put in some activated carbon to hopefully remove the color. My tank is a 60 gallon so it also takes a lot of this product to complete the dosing (it's one packet per gallon and you treat a total of 4 times) so it's a bit pricey but I'd still say it's worth it. Otherwise, I've been battling with this fin rot for about a month now and have finally gotten it under control so I'd consider that a success even if it was kinda gross looking and a pain in the butt.
