Then, lift the can opener off the can Trouble Shooting 1. If batteries are depleted, the can may not be released by pressing the button. Slide back the Battery Door and replace 2 AA batteries. The Can Opener should continue the cutting. Remember to replace the battery. 2. Cans with heavy seams and uneven rims may stall the Can Opener. If this happens, follow above procedure to release the can. 3. If the can is get stucked, please press the white button on the top of the can opener. Note: 1) Use 2 new batteries ( High quality AA batteries), cheaper less quality new batteries are inadequate and may not preform as necessary. 2) After completely revolving around the can and cutting the edge, the can will still appear to be sealed. I’m happy with this purchase ### ⭐ This product is a piece of poop *by J***I on November 19, 2019* This is the worst product I’ve purchased off amazon. It barely works. I put brand new batteries in and set it on top of the can and push the button. Half the time the button doesn’t turn it on or if it turns on and starts cutting, it’ll stop or move at a snails pace to open the can. You have to manually help it along for it to work. When it finally finishes cutting the can (after you’ve helped it) it won’t let go of the lid and then after it does, it won’t stop. It won’t turn off. I have to take the battery out to get it to stop. This is a horrible product.
