what size is the center pin bolt on these?

Oh man....i just put them in two months ago. I want to say it was 1/2".... I have a chrysler 8.25" rear and had to open up the hole a wee little bit but for the life of me i cant remember what size bit i used. 80% sure it was half inch.

will I need an SYE because they sit taller then stated? did anyone actually get 3.5in. ?

No there is no need for an sye unless your over 6" lift all youll need is a 1" transfer case drop about 25$ just to correct the pitch of the yoke. Btw i got 3.3/4 with these but i used them in combination with fat bobs shackles and a 1.5" case drop
