I thought I knew a thing or two... now I see that I'm barely in kindergarten. I loved this book. FYI it's not really... instructional. I love the humor and how he destroys new age astrology. If you're new agey AF you will probably hate it. If you're over all the new age bs and want to learn real astrology then pick up this book. I'm glad I purchased this book. It has really opened my eyes about astrology. I wasted 10 years (not really wasted) learning new age (bs) astrology. I felt like i exhausted all the possibilities (i was left extremely unsatisfied) and now i realize i haven't hit any of them. I'm happy that I still have much more to research and learn. I picked up a couple more frawley books and benjamin dykes books as well. Also i bought ancient astrology in theory and practice and that is extremely interesting as well. Also bought Christian astrology by lilly which appears to be absolutely essential. Looking forward to more frawley books in the future. New pop age astrology is utter bs. This is real astrology, of the tradition. Modern "astrology" is nothing of the sort. It is psychoanalytical garbage that has co-opted the tools and terminology of astrology. Frawley is also a busy practitioner, not a translator of old texts. He has tested the ancients, and knows where they were right, and where they were wrong. He is an invaluable link in the chain of the astrological tradition. His work on -- probably discovery of -- the value of receptions is unparalleled.
