It comes with the micrometer, battery, plastic case and sleeve. **Q: Can you use this to measure the thickness of paper?** A: The thickness of paper is 0.004 +/- and this micrometer accurate to 0.0005 with no problem. **Q: There's no standard bar in the case. Yet the included manual refers to a "supplied standard bar". Why does the manual mention that bar as "supplied"?** A: The manual is probably written for all of the micrometers including the ones over 1" which would need a standard bar.
