All four keys open both locks. **Q: Does the adhesive come off? I live in a rental!** A: It will but I'm not sure as to what difficulty. I was told that 3M's "general purpose adhesive remover" makes removal easy and without damage to the mating surface but I haven't tried it. The adhesive pads are thin which puts the lock pads close to the mating surface so trying to pry the locks off without damage to the mating surface could prove to be difficult. Applying 3M's product is supposed to make the pads loose enough to pull off after about 10 minutes. Good luck. **Q: in a multi-family house, can adults pull on the refrigerator door & break the lock?** A: Not in my experience....if you went to prying on the sealing surface with a screwdriver, you could work it off but not by pulling on the refrigerator door. You would knock everything off the door shelves and may even cause some damage to the door trying to yank it open. If the pad mating surface of the refrigerator is cleaned thoroughly before the pads are attached, they will attached with a very strong bond. The adhesive used on these pads is not like double sided tape, the material is much thinner and much stronger. Again, for this lock to work properly the mating surfaces MUST be clean. Black with black combination lock. You can see from the photo the front of my new fridge is curved, but it was easy to install the lock arms vertically instead of horizontally. Only problem (partly bc it is placed vertically) is that lower metal arm keeps falling out of the bracket when we unlock the fridge. I need to glue it in place. Adhesive is ROCK solid. Otherwise perfect!!
