HEAD Radical Elite Pickleball Paddle

My son has been using Head rackets through his USTA tournaments and loves them. That's one reason (besides other reviews on amazon) that I picked this paddle for us (wife plays and loves this paddle as well). This is great for beginners as well as intermediate players. Great sweet spot, not heavy and feels good in hands. Plus it does have different designs on each face - so you can keep your grip for front and back handed shots. I hope it lasts much longer than our other rackets that we had bought on Amazon (cheap ones that come with an entire kit). Great value for money.

Great quality paddle and love Head products but this paddle is likely only for very beginners or those that play with almost no spin or control. Very playable but would not recommend any paddle without some texture on the paddle surface.

I signed up for Pickleball lessons and wanted my own paddle instead of the wood based paddles offered with the class. I did quite a bit of research and found this paddle had solid ratings on several Pickleball forums. I like it a lot. It seems to be built well with a large sweet spot that is pretty forgiving. The elongated shape is nice for hitting balls close to the ground or stretching out for a ball farther away than you expect. I have a decently large hand and the paddle fits well in it. I don’t see the need to rewrap the handle to make it thicker. Other people in my beginner group liked the grip too. Few commented that even with smaller hands it didn’t feel bulky. The face has a little bit of texture to add spin to the ball but nowhere near as much as other paddles on the market. The ball pops off the paddle with a somewhat loud recoil that sounds solid when you hit the sweet spot. I (as well as others in the group and the instructor) feel this is a great entry level paddle. I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase again for the discounted price I paid. If paying full price I would look for a paddle with a more textured surface that is available in the same price point.

Looks pretty sturdy and good quality. Cool color lime green. I will know more after using it on our vacation next month. Never played Pickle Ball before.

I have been playing Pickelball for about a year. I can hold my own, but I am very average. This is my second racket. My first one was a $25 basic model, and it served me well for the first year. The HEAD rack is a significant upgrade. The feel is much better. It is lighter. My dinks and intermediate game have noticeably improved. If you aren't ready to take the jump to the $150+ rackets, this model is a good choice.

handle is comfortable, definitely more accurate than my previous paddle. Fell very comfortable with it even after only playing with it one time.

These are a good stater paddles. I bought a set for my wife and I. We’ve been playing Pickleball for a few months now. If you think you’re going to be a serious player, I would invest in a higher quality paddle and save yourself from having to immediately upgrade. The paddles are lightweight and great for speed. The downside is they are not very good for spin, which will be a problem if you plan to increase your game skills. Overall, these are decent paddles.
