The wheels are a must for something this size. It is quite large.I kind of wish Pelican made something about this size, but not quite as deep. There are 3-4 layers (from memory) of foam in this case for those of you storing other items in layers if you are able to do that. I never regret buying pelican cases. They're absolutely indestructible and while they have some trade offs (such as needing to buy new foam when you change it's ocontents), they're well worth it if what you're protecting is worth a decent amount of cash - especially if you are on the road or running around at weddings :).
