The shampoo does not disappoint! Just as the label states, it left my hair feeling soft and shiny without feeling weighed down or oily.I especially like the fact that the shampoo is sulfate and paraben free. When I received the bottle I have to admit to being a little concerned because many of the ingredients sound quite similar to sodium laurel sulfate. For example, "sodium lauryl sulfoacetate" is listed on the bottle as the second ingredient. However, I did some quick research online and learned that while similar in name, sodium lauryl sulfoacetate is derived from coconut and palm oils and is 100% natural. When I went further and researched other ingredients, I found the same thing: scary names but really gentle ingredients more often than not derived from plants or naturally occurring things like amino acids found in the human body.Long story short: I'm really happy to have been given this shampoo courtesy of Jean Michele. I like a product that works well AND is free of harsh chemicals. It's a win-win!
