There is so much detail here in the illustrations and the witty text in each letter. This book is truly enjoyable on so many levels. My toddler mostly reads the main text and loves opening the mail. He pretends to deliver it to each character. My 5 year old enjoys reading each letter with me The letters are so funny! The Big Bad Wolf hears from an attorney, who threatens to send all the king's horses and all the king's men after him if he does not vacate Grandma's cottage. This is by far not a board book and we've had one small tear from my younger child -- just plan to keep an eye on it with younger children but the content is absolutely accessible to them. The language is a bit British in places but easily understood by young children in the US and a good opportunity to help them build comprehension and vocabulary.
