Does the pan have a flat service or ridges like the grilling pan

I have tree of these.One is flat with a very small well along the edge to catch fat. The others have flat surface like a frying pan.And they came at different times in the order: flat - with edge well - flat.Both work, more or less, the same. I seem to prefer the flat one for most of the cooking I'm doing in them. I don't think you have a choice in buying one or the other. The last one - flat- I only got last week.

Yes you do get a cook book also this will be the best investment to your kitchen cook ware that you will ever purchase, I use mine just about every day. I take a frozen hamburger patty cook it 4 minutes on one side then turn it over and cook it 2:30 to 3 minutes and it is perfectly brown on both sides. I would buy the round one instead of the oblong one. There is no limit to what you can cook in it. I love mine and would tell everyone to buy one. Shop around and compair prices.

I am new to this. Will it crisp better without the lid?

We highly recommend you use the lid when using the Microhearth. To adjust the crisp level, we suggest adjusting the time in the microwave.

I ordered this bc it is supposed to be a pan. it is a grill. is there any reason to keep it if i already have the rectangular one and i don't need
