Does all that I need it to do. Seems like a good meter for the price. I would recommend it.

This is a good basic Multi meter with a nice large display and Backlight and a nice rugged case. It is accurate I checked it. The leads are not thick but for this price that's common. You can upgrade to some Fluke leads later. Mine reads a small amount of DC voltage when the leads are apart and in Volts DC mode. Like 20 milli-amps or so. when I short the leads it goes to 0. not sure if this is a problem as there might be that small amount of current in the air space between the leads. I love it - just what I needed for home electronics repairs. The super cheap $5 HF ones were falling apart after a short period of use.

I needed a small meter for my travel work bag for service calls and side work because I hate taking my main meter from work and forgetting to bring it back. This meter is perfect size for my needs, the display is easy to read and the dial is easy to use and see the settings. On the back there is a kick stand to set your meter upright while in use for better viewing and it also ahs a spot to attach a supplied magnetic base so you can hang it on the side of a metal cabinet or box for hands free use. In the back battery compartment there are two fuses in the back the offer extra protection from over voltage or spikes. Over all this is nice little test meter with quite a free bells and whistles, and it is perfect for me and my needs

If you’re in the market for a budget-friendly multimeter. this is it. It offers solid value for many basic tasks, but it also comes with some caveats—especially if you’re trying to use it to test battery life or performance. Below is a review-style breakdown of what works, what doesn’t, and where you might run into problems. this is the data when testing batteries: Suppose you you want to test a set of rechargeable AA batteries in a flashlight to see how “fresh” they are and how much life they have left. You measure the batteries when idle and see 1.35 V each. That seems fine. You then put the flashlight on high mode (drawing some current) and try to measure the voltage under load. With a decent tester you’d monitor how fast the voltage drops, look at internal resistance, maybe estimate remaining capacity. With this budget meter you may see the voltage drop to ~1.25 V, but you might also notice slight jitter or fluctuation in the reading, maybe the meter doesn’t capture a rapid drop, or the reading lags or bounces between 1.24 V and 1.27 V. If you repeat the test with “older” batteries, you might expect them to drop to say ~1.1 V more quickly. But the meter’s resolution or sampling might make it harder to reliably compare “good vs bad” beyond just “voltage is low.” You might end up with “Well, this one shows 1.15, that one shows 1.20” and the difference may be within the error margin of the meter itself, so you’re not sure how much worse the second battery is. In other words: the meter can tell you the voltage, but not reliably how much life the battery has left, especially under varying load conditions, and the readings might be inconsistent or ambiguous when you're trying to compare marginal cases.

The item was damaged from spring for the battery I fix it but is not ok

I have a number of DVMs including a high end Fluke. This has the continuity buzzer with onlu my very old, full size analog VOM has. (but it keeps on truckin') I'm sure about the clips to hold the probes just yet. Look to be in the way. The case is flimsy and will not stand up to daily, pro use. All in all I'm pleased. I use this primarily in my guitar shop and the continuity feature is great for checking for grounds on all places where they should be.
