The pockets are all lined with mesh so they work alongside the armpit vents to release heat. As usual I did plenty of research and could have easily bought a Condor Summit but I'm glad I decided to try Pentagon. The stitching and attention to detail really shows. Zippers are great although the front zipper is on the left which takes a little getting used to. Must be a European thing. I was concerned about sizing being Pentagon is a European company but the size chart was pretty spot on for Americans. I'm 5'10" 215 lbs with broad shoulders and the XL fits perfectly with a little room for a light layer. I love the cuffs because they're Velcro adjustable and are also stretchy so once you set it taking it on and off is easy.The bottom drawstrings are bundled and face up (like Arc'teryx) so they're easy to tighten with one upward pull. There are several good videos online that show all this. The grindle green is more like ranger green than foliage. It's an earthy green/grey mix which is darker than foliage. This shipped from Military 1st in London and I received it in New York in 10 days. Nothing against Condor but if you're looking for a tactical softshell spend the extra $30 plus $10 for shipping and try the Artaxes. I love the way it fits and looks. Seems quite durable and has plenty of pockets.I am 6’1” tall and 165lbs; I originally ordered a size medium expecting a nice form-fit, but it was very obviously too small for my frame despite being skinny. I returned the jacket and ordered a large to replace it and it fits perfectly.Minor defect on right wrist cuff.
