Review: compass - If this compass is made the same as the one I have, it is an a great item. I bought mine bace in the 70s, that makes it around 40 years ago. Mine has a black hard plastic cover and a black face pointer. The green pointer line on the inside of the glasss just fell off and is somewhere under the pointer which does not affect the operation. I highly recommend this item. You pay more for the really nice ones but in the end they all basically do the same thing, point north. The only bad thing, I lost the instructions for using it with a map.
