A tool like this can save time and reduce the chance of error by making it easy to mark the center for the forstner bit.1. Contrary to the description, this tool will not work on all doors. It will work on doors with rectangular edges, but NOT on doors with rounded edges because the ledger on the back of the tool is too shallow.2. Different hinge manufacturers to not all specify the same offset from the edge of the door. Mine hinges required at 20.5mm offset edge-to-center (35mm/2+3mm); this tool assumes one size fits all and marks the offset at (35mm/2mm+5mm) -- an additional 2mm that could result in interference between the door and the cabinet.3. As others have noted, the tool is very pricy. I checked out their Youtube video and headed over the Amazon to purchase it. A week later, I put it to use on my project and bingo! My hinges lined up perfectly. One thing to note is the you may have to remove the rotating "stops" to use it on your project - depending on what you are building.
