## Description

Sugar Rush Peach-(Capsicum bacattum)-This is a rare Peach colored Capsicum bacattum variety that is very sweet. But it does have close to habanero heat! It might be the only Peach colored Aji type we have ever seen. Similar to Aji Amarillo but much sweeter and that's why it's called Sugar Rush! The Sugar Rush Chile Plants will grow over 5 feet tall and will need staking. Like many Aji's they have a long season but produce lots of peppers into the fall. The Sugar Rush chile plants can grow over 4 feet tall.

Review: so happy with these peppers! - I've not had the best of luck with peppers, however I am super happy with these seeds. Each one germinated and the plants are now loaded with peppers! They are nice and spicy, yet sort of sweet at the same time. They never turned the peach color (more of a light yellow) but could be due to less direct sunlight. That said, my garden doesn't get an immense amount of sun, yet I am still able to grow an abundance of these peppers. I'm going to have to figure out what to do with all of them! I'll be growing these again next year!
Review: Planted and excited to see them grow - Just planted these Sugar Rush Peach pepper seeds and currently waiting for them to germinate. The seeds looked healthy and were packaged well. Looking forward to seeing how they sprout and grow. I’ve heard great things about this variety, especially the flavor and heat level. So far, everything looks good and I’m excited to see the results.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: How hot are these on the scoville scale?**
A: An Internet search says they run 50K-150K SHU but that was not my experience. From my crop, I could eat half a dozen raw peppers and get a good tingle on my tongue whereas eating half a dozen jalapenos has me reaching for a glass of milk and half a dozen thai chili peppers breaks a sweat on my forehead.

I pickled most of my sugar rush crop and use them as a condiment or snack.

**Q: My question is once the plant has fruited & produced the sugar rush peach pepper, can i save & plant those seeds nxt season & expect them to be true?**
A: Yes, however you will need to ensure the plant is not in close proximity to other blooming peppers while it is blooming. That can lead to cross-pollination even though peppers are self-pollinating. Also, you will want the peppers to reach maximum ripeness before harvesting for seed since that is when the seeds are fully mature.

**Q: how long for peppers to change color**
A: The peppers stay yellow for a long time and are just now starting to turn peach color in mid September. They are great even when yellow as pickled peppers.

**Q: Is this a Hybrid type or an Heirloom?**
A: It is not an F1 Hybrid. It is an variant of the Sugar Rush Red.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ so happy with these peppers!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Planted and excited to see them grow
*by C***C on April 14, 2026*

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good germination in an Aergarden
*by S***O on June 24, 2022*

I started these in an AeroGarden, placing 3 seeds in each pod to improve odds of germination. I achieved germination in every pod, multiples in most pods. After they grew to approximately 1 1/2" tall, I reduced each pod to one plant by trimming away the others. At around 4" tall, I transplanted them to my garden bed where they're doing well. I'm highly anticipating first blooms soon.
