Since this is not Vegan and contains gelatin, which animal is the source of the gelatin?

I am not an expert on beano so you would have to go straight to the source but from what I understand beano has fish gelatin which I believe is a protein product produced by partial hydrolysis of the collagen rich fish scale material. So technically because it comes from some part of the fish you can make your own decision on whether to include it or not. I am 99% vegan which means at times Ill eat a (usually just one) french fry that has been fried in animal lard, or take beano and think nothing of it. Its not about being one thing or another its all about health and living a healthy life in balance.

According to the company that makes it, it is gluten free.
