Syrup for Drinks, Made In France (33.8 Fl Oz, Almond Glass)

I bought this to make cafe Lecce a coffee drink we had in the city of Lecce Italy and it works very well for this. I had tried another brand but this one works better. I highly recommend this for this drink. Look up the recipe for this drink it is a very nice summer ice coffee drink.

I researched the heck out of which Orgeat or Almond Syrup was the best. I read many reviews, which actually was quite confusing. Finally I picked one. This is excellent. It has a very nice soft almond flavor, so it compliments your cocktail and does not over power it. There is no weird taste or after taste. I believe it is one of the best I have tasted. It is not cheap, but not expensive like some of the others.

So far, this is my favorite brand of coffee syrup! The flavors are much more flavorful than Torani, and overall much better quality.

I normally buy a brand that is made with toasted almonds or make my own. This is the best alternative and well priced.

Can you DIY Orgeat cocktail syrup at home? Yes, but it's very time consuming and difficult to do so properly. And contrary to popular belief it's not supposed to be made with almond milk or Amaretto (almond liqueur). I've only ever tried Liber Company's orgeat for reference, which is considered the cocktail "industry standard" and has better almondy flavors but not worth x4 the price IMHO. 1883 Maison Routin came up after searching many internet forums. Among the syrups that use "almond extract" instead of real toasted amonds, this is probably the best brand you can get. I would add a few drops of Orange Blossom Water into the bottle and shake it up to make it comparable to the original recipe. This is also a little sweeter than expected so I tend to use 3/4 quantity of what my usual drink recipes call for.

My favorite French bakery uses this in their coffee drinks so I know it's the best available! It is far superior to the Torani syrups. 1883 syrups have a rich flavor that doesn't taste artificial or too sweet. A little goes a long way. This is the best for making flavored cappuccinos or lattes at home!

I would give zero stars if I could. I had such high hopes after reading the other reviews BUT...this was sweet syrup with ABSOLUTELY ZERO ALMOND FLAVOR

I had a hankering for Mai Tai's this spring so bought all the necessary fixings. Nice thing about the classic Trader Vic recipe is that you can taste all of the flavors in the drink, which made this orgeat syrup so important. The subtle flavor. makes a great Mai Tai.
