It takes up less room than a separate Z-Wave device for a bulb to plug into. I thought I got a real good deal when I saw I could get two different color temps and a range of visual colors. It works well with Aeotec's Z-Wave controller stick and Home Assistant. You can adjust color temperature via the node settings, and the brightness range is very wide. Nice smooth dimming action too. I know for a fact it works well as a repeater because I have several battery-powered nodes that rely on it to bridge the distance to my controller.With all that said, it saddens me to write that the bulb has died 5 days after my window to return it has closed...I have attempted the reset procedure but it is totally non-responsive. (I know the reset procedure used to work, because I actually used it before during initial testing. It includes/excludes easily too.) Checked my OpenZWave logs to find it simply quit responding while I was sleeping last night after working perfectly for weeks. I'm surprised it died as it felt only warm to the touch while on - much cooler than some other LED bulbs I've used.Besides the short life of this thing, I'd give it 5/5.EDIT: It's been a few days, and after contacting Aeotec they said the 1-year warranty can be used by contacting Amazon for a replacement. It all worked out, and I was able to send the dead bulb back, and receive a new bulb with a credit. The bulb is very easy to add to your network; just hit "Add Node Secure" in Home Assistant, then turn the bulb on. It flashes to confirm inclusion.
