Review: Hands Down one of the best electrical diagnostic tools for your tool box - I work in a professional shop environment and being the new guy, all of the electrical diag tickets got passed down to me because sh*t rolls down hill. I struggled through the diag jobs. I ended up seeing the LoadPro in a tool truck flyer which introduced me to the voltage drop testing concept. I bought the LoadPro and started studying voltage drop while waiting on the tool. The new diagnostic training combined with the LoadPro was a huge "level up" moment for me as a new technician. It's an excellent diagnostic tool and will speed up the diag process. The book itself is a great resource and I personally am a fan of physical books to keep around for quick reference. You NEED this unit *by J***. on August 31, 2022* I'm a heavy equipment mechanic. I think every mechanic hates chasing electrical problems.....is it a chafed wire, bad connector pin, bad relay, bad ground, combination of everything?? A friend of mine told me about this........I've always used a light bulb to apply a load. I got this on a Saturday, Monday morning I was called out to look at a hydraulic on a dozer..........while your there can you look at the AC?? The AC system has 2 fans on condenser on roof, with 2 relays.....1 for each fan, and then a connector then goes into cab. One fan was good, another bad. Using multimeter, it was showing I had voltage going to both fans.........push the button and apply load......the voltage disappeared. Using just the multimeter with Load Pro you would think you had voltage and it was all good. Popped down to fuse panel.........one fuse was blown, the other was good. The blown fuse was an EZ ID fuse......the kind that has an LED light in it to show when the fuse was blown. Thats where the phantom voltage was coming from..........push the button on the LoadPro and voltage went away. The old way would have taken ALOT longer. I climbed off the roof of the dozer yelling "YEEEESSSS!!! THIS IS AWESOME!!" Plus it was 95F, sun baking, and my knees were getting cooked on the metal roof............THIS THING IS SO WORTH IT. According to manufacturer.......this will handle 12v-28.5V so its good for 24V systems. The 12V version applies a 50 ohm load when the button is pushed.
