The small birds quickly adapted to going inside and we've seen a woodpecker hanging off the outside and pecking through the mesh so he's happy too. It's very nicely made, and looks as though it should last well. This is a very attractive feeder. The colour is subtle and it blends well into the garden. Build quality is good as well (except for a bracket on the top which, after a month, is showing the start of rust).But.... in a month, not one bird has been able to get through the outer cage to reach the fatballs. We have many birds, including blue tits/great tits etc - a size that should be able to get into the feeder to reach the fatballs. I have just thrown away all the untouched fatballs as they are now no good.
