works great, and very fairly priced
I use this to paint my Kyosho Mini-z car bodies - with the no-name compressor, this airbrush works fantastic and is easy to clean. Very happy with it

6 Month Review: I regret everything
So you want to buy an airbrush? I was in your shoes not too long ago, so allow me to give you some advice before pressing that "Buy now" button. I'll start by saying this was the first airbrush I ever used. I was tempted by the low price and the cheapness was reassuring since I had zero skills whatsoever. Initially my opinion of this airbrush was pretty favorable and I couldn't find much fault with it. Despite stripping it down and cleaning it every single night, I frequently ran into issues like sputtering, clogging, etc., but figured this was just part of the airbrush experience. After a few months I decided to fork over the money for a more expensive airbrush made by a Japanese company. I didn't think it would be tremendously different than the Master, however I've never been so wrong before. The new airbrush quickly shined a light on all the flaws the Master airbrush has, and it became abundantly clear why this airbrush is so cheap: It's a piece of s**t. The expensive airbrush became the Main almost immediately, and the Master quickly gained a reputation for being a hassle to use and clean compared to the Main. Here's a general list of the most annoying issues: - The cavity that holds paint in the bottom of the cup is not shaped in a way that funnels fluids towards the nozzle. This causes paint to pool at the back of the cavity, allowing the needle to pull the paint back into the body of the airbrush and clog up the inner workings. This leads to the brush needing to be stripped down every time I use it to remove paint chunks from the back half of the airbrush. (The Main has a funnel-shaped cavity that basically causes this to almost never happen). - The nozzles break off far too easily. In just over 6 months of use I've snapped the threads off of three 0.3mm nozzles by simply screwing them into the body with next to no pressure at all. A replacement nozzle is about $10, so this brush has cost me about $70. (The main has a non-threaded nozzle that literally cannot do this.) - The 0.5mm nozzle and needle are useless. For whatever reason, when I install the 0.5mm nozzle and needle it's like the brush has no pressure at all and it sprays to the side. It did this from the factory, but QC is not a real surprise anymore. - The hose attachment o-ring doesn't fit. This brush includes a quick-disconnect attachment, which is rather helpful. The problem is with the rubber o-ring that is supposed to seal the body of the brush from the disconnect attachment, which just gets folded up and crinkled within the quick-disconnect itself. This leads to an air leak after about a week of use, and I've regularly had to apply teflon tape to the threads to seal the damn thing. - The o-ring in the nozzle doesn't seal. This is a more recent development but an o-ring that seals the nozzle cap to the body has simply decided it doesn't want to work anymore. The brush regularly blows whatever fluid is in it out through these threads, and I've had to start applying teflon tape to these threads as well. - It's unbalanced and uncomfortable to use. This was something that I didn't discover until I ordered the name-brand airbrush, but the Master airbrush is extremely nose-heavy, and it requires a tight grip to hold in place. This can lead to fatigue rather quickly and cramps, making it more difficult for detailed work as time goes on. The Main airbrush is balanced more rearward, and almost doesn't require any kind of pressure to hold in place at all, it just sits there like a quality product. - It clogs more than a frat house toilet. Unless I thin paint and primer past the consistency of water, it will start to dry within the brush itself extremely quickly. Usually if I can't get all the paint out within 3-5 minutes it will start clogging (As you might expect the Main somehow doesn't do this). Sometimes I'll notice it's clogging and can clear it, but other times it will clog and then immediately blast whatever was in the nozzle onto the part in HUGE blobs and then work just fine like nothing's gone wrong. There are times it clogs and requires a full drain and disassembly, and on one night it decided to blast the paint out the back of the brush! That was awesome. Usually I can get something for $20-30 and say "Oh well!" if it's really bad, but for whatever reason this thing has raised the bar for how bad something can be. If I'd never bought the other airbrush I probably would never even notice that this brush is such a piece of junk. If I have a single piece of advice for the aspiring airbrush user it's this: Save your money, buy an Iwata, or a Badger, or literally anything other than this. Don't do this to yourself.

Perfect for small spray jobs
With three (3) sets of needs you can adjust the spray from fine line to up to 2 inches wide. It's double action so I can get the air running first from the compressor before I begin the paint flow. This allows me to start off the item I and painting and then sweep it on and to the other side before coming back, It is a perfect dual action gravity feed cup for beginners. Be sure you follow your paint maker's directions for thinning the paints and CLEAN CLEAN CLEAN the brush when you are done or changing colors. (I have three of these so that I don't need to stop as much when doing multi color) I use it for painting train locomotives or for weathering structures for my model railroad prior to assembling and gluing them. It's quite easy to clean just make sure you have a spray catch cup when cleaning it. It comes with built-in gravity cup with lid, 3 needles and nozzles and a 6 foot long hose with 1/8" fittings so no adapters are needed to fit it to my compressor. It's not a top of the line super duty, does everything but take you out for dinner airbrush but it gets the job done. I have been using it steadily now for a week, and no clogs, spitting or any other problems. Just remember to clean it AS SOON AS YOU STOP SPRAYING! That's the whole key to avoiding clogs and spitting. Dried paint is NOT our friend! So I rate this 5 star and recommend it no matter what your skill level is, since it is a workhorse of an airbrush. Just remember that it is a Chevy not a Mercedes.

Cheaply made, cheaply broken.
My experience with this airbrush is a testament to the adage, "Whatever comes to one cheaply shall vanish cheaply." The design of the airbrush itself appears to be a copy of the Iwata HP-C+, from the design of the needle chuck's housing down to the contours of the airhose intake. The High-Performance C Plus is generally sold for around $180, and this price is as high as it is for a good reason: the materials used in the construction of the airbrush have to meet certain specifications or else you will run into problems. The unfortunately-named "Master" brand doesn't seem concerned with such things as quality, and thus within only a day of using this airbrush I ran into two critical problems: the first had to do with the mechanism of the paint well, and the second had to do with the tolerances of the metal used in the airbrush's construction. I don't possess a tremendous deal of experience with airbrushes, but I noticed this one has a serious problem feeding more than a few drops of paint at a time. After filling the cup to about a quarter-volume with thinner and Vallejo Air primer, the nozzle stopped releasing paint and bubbles started to form in the well. I thought I would have to disassemble the thing and clean some parts, but after dumping the contents of the well, the flow from the cup resumed. From this I gather that whatever gasket seals the cup is unable to operate with a certain amount of liquid pressure against it. I managed to get around this just fine, for the most part, by simply not filling the cup to more than 1/5 its volume but, perhaps as a consequence of this seal problem, the paint would occasionally seize up in the nozzle and then be coughed out, splattering un-atomized paint all over the target surface. The second problem -- the problem which terminated this brush for me in more ways than one -- arose from attempting to replace the needle assembly. I had removed the 0.3mm needle and its nozzle in order to replace it for the 0.5mm. I screwed the nozzle into place, but then decided to remove it again so I could see how the 0.2mm worked; and as I unscrewed the nozzle, it and its O-ring popped apart. The metal used in the fine parts of this airbrush is of such low tolerances that unscrewing it shore the threading clear of the nozzle itself -- you can see a comparison between the 0.3mm nozzle and the 0.5mm nozzle in the attached images, the 0.5mm being the one missing half its length. The 0.5mm nozzle's threading now occupies the inside of its screwhole in the mouth of the airbrush, thus rendering the entire thing completely and totally useless. After a single mediocre use, this gasping, anemic excuse for a tool was invalidated. I could have taken a friend out to dinner for the money I wasted on this thing. Instead I paid for the privilege of being forced to rub off paint splatters from my current model project. You can rest assured this will be getting sent for a refund. The money will be put towards an actual Iwata come next month's pay. Anyway, "Master" airbrushes are a mistake, and a dishonest one at that. Don't waste your money on cheap garbage. Just save up and shell out for something that will actually do the job, and survive doing it to boot.

You can do better
I’m no airbrush expert, but I have used them for about 2 years in my miniature painting hobby. I’ve had different brands from Badger, Harder and Steinbeck, and Iwata. I knew going into this that the Master brand is not, repeat, IS NOT the best on the market. Everyone who’s spent 5 minutes researching airbrushes knows that these are never suggested as a “first airbrush” because, well, they will make you hate the idea of airbrushing never mind actually doing it. For $30 you get a cheap plastic box, some instructions, multiple different nozzle and needle sets in various sizes, and a cheap airbrush. When I unboxed this unit, I immediately cleaned it. Might sound crazy to some, but the amount of junk that comes out of these cheap airbrushes is astonishing. After I got it clean, I lubed the needle and attempted to reassemble it. The .35 nozzle had a broken o-ring out of the box and the interior seal was totally missing. I happened to have a spare on hand so I fixed the inner seal issue, but I had to use the .5 needle and nozzle set to make the airbrush usable. Broken and missing stuff out of the box is unacceptable at any price point. So I then connected the airbrush to my compressor and found no leaks. A pleasant surprise, honestly. I loaded the cup with stylenrez primer and went to work. 15-20 seconds later, I ran into a clog. No problem; it’s a quick fix. Or it should be. I had to totally tear the airbrush apart and physically scrub the nozzle with a dentex brush. Reassembled the brush and went back to work. 30-40 seconds and it clogged again. Even at .5 it clogs and sputters. I had to add flow improver to stylenrez to get it to run kind of right and it still clogged constantly. I will give it credit for spraying washes and inks pretty well, but it won’t spray acrylic paints or primers unless you make them see-through thin. I am not happy with this purchase and I will not buy another Master airbrush. Taking a step backwards into a “more affordable” airbrush was probably a very bad idea. UPDATE: The plating from inside of the cup as well as the catch nut for the needle is coming off completely revealing subpar metals underneath. I am returning this for a refund because it is hot garbage and I am no longer willing to struggle to get it to work. Run very far and very fast away from this product and spend more money on something better; you will be much happier with your self and the product in the long run if you just spend a little more.

Great airbrush but make sure to take it apart before use!
I recently purchased the Master Airbrush Master Performance G233 Pro Set with 3 Nozzle Sets and overall, I am pleased with my purchase. The spray is great and the kit is very easy to use, making it ideal for beginners. However, I did encounter some issues when I received the kit. The airbrush was just flopping around in the case and I noticed that some of the parts were loose. When I first tried to use it out of the box, it did not perform well. After cleaning it and taking it apart to tighten everything up, it worked great. I would suggest that buyers take the time to ensure that all of the parts are securely tightened before using the airbrush. Additionally, I would recommend that the manufacturer include a little extra packing foam to prevent the airbrush from popping out of the cutout in the case during shipping. Overall, I would give this product a 4-star rating. While the airbrush is easy to use and performs well once it is set up properly, the loose parts and lack of packing foam in the case are issues that should be addressed by the manufacturer. If you are willing to take the time to ensure that the airbrush is set up properly, then this kit is a great investment for any beginner.

Nice airbrush to work with.
I am definitely not a an expert and more a really inexperienced guy. It sounds really nice that it has 3 needles, and the the extras like the quick release plugs. But when it come to start painting I don’t know how handy the smaller .2 and .35 mm they really are? Mine came with the .35 mm on and it wasn’t complete fitted into the nozzle so it spit paint without pulling the trigger or course this is my bad for not checking those details. However once I pushed the needle inside the nozzle, the paint stopped flowing nicely and/or not enough to paint anything at all. I don’t know if that is the correct behavior because of the needle size or if the needle has a defect. Anyway what I did was to change the needle for the .5mm and now everything is ok, more paint, more control and mare enjoyable experience. (This is when having options comes handy) I use it mainly for primers and it works really fine. I don’t do detail work just plain area coverage as in tiny paint pistol for cars. But so far so good I can recommend it if you just want to paint something and you are a mess with brushes like me and want to see a smooth surface this a good option. For everything else I would follow other advices not mine. And since the cost is really low compared to other brands, you won’t feel sorry if it falls from your desk or if you have to experiment and broke it. I won’t say anything like “for the price it works” it is pretty dishonest and very discouraging comment for others that are new to this kind of tools and even if it is a cheap one there is effort behind it to be recognized as is, and if you are trying to experiment well this is a great option before spending hundreds of dollars in a different product. Besides that the cleaning is basically as complex any new tool, you have to get used to it and it will become easier with time. The usage is easy enough even if you don’t have great coordination for the 2 action trigger. And on my point of view it is a great beginners option to mess up with and get your hands dirty with your related hobby or soon to be profession. But beyond that is out of my league as you can see. Hope this is help bye bye

Abject Trash. A refund isn't enough.
This is my third and final Master Airbrush airbrush. Every single one has been compete refuse and failed. This one failed catastrophically after ten minutes of use. Here's the blow by blow, so you can see how absurd this trash product is. I took it out of it's box, swapped to the .5mm needle and nozzle, loaded up some very thin Vallejo primer, and set to priming. After a single cup of primer, I cleaned out the cup, cleaned out the brush, flushed everything with 99% isopropyl alcohol, water, then airbrush cleaner. I then mixed another cup of primer and resumed my project. After a minute, the airbrush would only cough and sneeze primer in puddles and splats. I poured out the entire cup of primer. Cleaned the airbrush. Cleaned the needle. Mixed a new cup. Pulled back on the trigger, more sneezes and coughs. Then, nothing. Drips of primer coming out the end of the nozzle. I poured out a second cup of primer and disassembled the airbrush. The entire needle was coated in primer. The body of the airbrush was full of primer. The nozzle was mostly clogged. The trigger was somehow full of primer. The needle channel was full of primer. The entire airbrush is now full of polyethylene primer. After ten minutes of use. I own three other airbrushes. This is completely unheard of in my years of painting that an airbrush would backfill itself with primer and turn into a brick. Something is obviously not to spec. But here we are, master trash does it again. Buy a coffee straw and use that to blow paint, it will work better than this and save you money. It will give you less of a headache. You will get more done. It will last longer than ten minutes. Complete. Trash.

Very small airbrush kit
I received the air brush kit a couple of days back and am extremely disappointed in the size of the ink/paint cup, it'd be lucky to take 2 teaspoons of liquid, not al all what I was after and way smaller than the image shown on the web page. At well over AUD$100.00 its a very expensive LITTLE unit

Back to Scale Modeling After 20 Years
After more than 20 years away from scale modeling, I finally decided to return to the hobby — and investing in a good airbrush was the best decision I made. The airbrush is absolutely awesome. The control and smoothness of the spray make a huge difference compared to traditional brush painting. It delivers fine lines, soft camo patterns, and even coats with impressive precision. The paint flow is consistent, easy to adjust, and cleaning is much simpler than I expected. What really amazed me is how much airbrushing has improved over the years. The trigger response is smooth, atomization is excellent, and it makes detailed work so much more enjoyable and professional-looking. Whether I’m doing base coats, shading, or weathering, the results are clean and satisfying. Coming back to scale modeling after two decades, this airbrush has completely reignited my passion for the hobby. It makes the whole process more relaxing, creative, and rewarding. Highly recommended for anyone returning to modeling — or even beginners who want to start strong.
