GeForce RTX 2080 Founders Edition

My games have never looked so good. I can see every blade of grass, every bead of sweat on my character's brow, and every glorious explosion in stunning detail. My computer now sounds like a jet engine taking off, but it's a small price to pay for this level of graphical fidelity. My electric bill has also gone up, but who needs to pay bills when you can live in a virtual paradise? 5/5 stars, my eyes have ascended to a higher plane of existence.

699 retail listed more than double on amazon. way to go.

I was able to get this card for not much more than the cost of a 2070 Super, but a bit less than most 2080 Super's I saw going around at the time. It will be on display, vertically in my case, and I really disliked the look of how reflective the 20x0 Super cards are on the "bottom." It still performs ABOUT the same as a 2070 Super, so pretty relevant for today's titles of course. A 2070 Super is technically a better deal, being just a few frames lower, or in some cases higher, than this card for a little bit less but I was okay with the price difference for a certain aesthetic.

So far the card has run ok. But it came in a box that was previously opened, retaped, card rewrapped, and overall felt like it was purchased from Fry's discounted bin. The package was disheveled enough that I am worried about this purchase.

Its a good card. Without a doubt, better than previous cards. Do recommend getting that adaptive sync though if you're going for 4K full settings. Also good cooling and proper airflow may also help. With 2 front inlet fans and 1 outlet fan in the back, the card ran around 75 Celsius at 4K max setting mid 40's fps. After installation of further cooling its down to about 40's to 50's max so its not a crazy issue. Its just needs some air. Its a complex machine doing lots of things at once.

I like the power, but I wish I had gone for the 5700xt. I sacrificed my freesync capabilities to play with raytracing, only to learn that I should have done more homework first. Raytracing doesn't work on a single title on windows 7, and having windows 10 on my gaming laptop...... I'm not willing to put that crap on my main rig. Microsoft is trying to make it easier for game developers to make windows 7 raytracing, but I'm thinking of selling this card for AMD's next flagship. Kinda disappointed in Nvidia right now. Now for another experience I had out of the box. I have a 1440p 144hz 1ms gaming monitor with strobing. You can NOT output that resolution from the card without going into global settings and enabling DSR scaling. No idea why...... It took me like a week and 4 dPort cables to figure it out. Never had these weird issues with my r9-390 Also if you get this turn off the nvidia overlay.

Ma GTX 1070 commencait à etre vieillissante surtout que je suis à fond dans la VR , donc pour moi la carte GEFORCE RTX 2080 TURING FOUNDERS EDITION 8GB GDD6 est un bon compromis par rapport à la 2080ti trop inaccessible à mon gout!

Excellente carte graphique, magnifiques finitions. Reste quand même un peu chère.
