So far, this belt is the thickest, best made, and strongest SI belt, I've purchased!
Recently, I have had to purchase 2 belts. The first, Everyday Medical SI Joint Belt, did not do well. To get the support, I needed, I had to get it as tight as I could. All it did was roll up, into my hip/groin area and bruised it. It's was not thick enough for any support. The height was only 3 1/2 in. I then ordered this belt, Vriksasana Si Belt for Men and Women Posture SI belt. WHAT A DIFFERENCE! It's 5 1/4 in. It's almost twice the thickness. It doesn't cut into me. It doesn't roll up, on me. And it supports beautifully, without me haven't to tug it, as tight as I can get it. I highly recommend this belt, for SI problems and hip problems. I do have both problems. One from a bad fall, landed thrice on my SI and congenital dislocated hip, which took 3 surgeries to repair and later in my life, an artificial hip.

Works for SI joint pain
I wish I didn't have to wear this sort of apparatus, but it's the price for getting older I guess. It does work, particularly for times when I need to stand for long periods, which is something that always causes my SI joint pain to go through the roof. It even stays put fairly well when I walk, which is better than I expected.

This works but please read my review to help you
After much study about the SI joint and sciatic nerve and all that lovely pelvic anatomy I came to the conclusion that it helps stabilize the hips but doesn't help significantly with sciatica right away, hear me out please. This is for the sacroiliac (SI) joint. So I've had it on for days so far and slept with it on too. It's not uncomfortable to sleep in at all. I noticed an improvement in my pelvic area all around very quickly especially since I have suffered for over 25 yrs with many lower back (down to toes) issues. I can definitely tell when using the stairs. The grinding has stopped in the entire SI joint area as long as I am wearing it. According to my research it could take around 6 weeks of continuous wearing the belt to get to a decent recovery level, easy enough. Now for the sciatica I have as well that causes me great pain from the knee to my toes causing intense tingles and needles. That nerve runs down or through the tendons of my SI joint. The first time I put the belt on my sciatica nerve went nuts and the tingles intensified for about an hour. HOWEVER, it's been days and my sciatica is improving as well. My theory here is that my tendons at my SI joints were so inflamed and abused that it was pinching my sciatic nerve. This will not be the situation for everyone. My suggestion is easy to help you decide if this is the right product for you. Go to YouTube and type in SI joint. Watch a few that explain what it is and how it works. It's very helpful to watch these and I can't stress that enough. This product, unfortunately, was never suggested to me by roughly 20 different chiropractors and doctors that never figured out why I was in so much pain because all my scans only showed arthritis in ALL my abused joints in my entire pelvic area, (oh yes, it hurts a lot). This belt is working slowly by stabilizing my pelvis and the rest is falling into place. SIZING: I am a bigger woman and wear, in men's pants, around a size 44-46 waist which was right at the edge of the sizing chart. I ordered the regular size and it fit perfectly. I released to two extra side straps first and put the belt on in the correct area then applied the 2 side straps again. This doesn't need to be super tight. You don't want to over squeeze. It fit just great. My only issue is since I have a pouch belly the front of the belt wants to roll. Small problem of not perfect comfort at times is a tiny price to pay for relief. I really hope that this helps at least one person. The belt itself is good. So far the velcro is holding great, the seams look good. It's not stretching out abnormally, and it's comfortable enough for constant wear.

Amazing Product!!!!
Somehow this product does exactly as it claims, through compression, my SI joint pain and pelvic instability was dramatically reduced and improved respectively. I thought the idea was too good to be true but I admit my doubt was unfounded! Best money I have ever spent as of late, the quality of the elastic material and the stitching is excellent and comfortable to wear. If there was one thing I'd suggest to improve, it would be to add a smidge of material to the end of the overlapping secondary bands, for grip-tabs, to aid in their removal when taking the belt off. As it is currently constructed, I find it difficult to release the hook/loop attachment because there is nothing to grasp to pull the ends free. All in all, I am very pleased for the pain relief and stability improvement and ever hopeful that with extended use, my overall disposition will improve further. Thanks so much for this amazing product!!!!

There are 2 different belt types.
These are excellent SJ supports and the best I have found. I have tried 3 to 4 other brands. If you have purchased one of these SJ belts from vriksasana be aware that they make 2 different types only one of which I found on Amazon. The one that shows up in the amazon page is a newer model that is all one width. The second style ( an older one) has a narrowing in the back and is slightly smaller in overall width. It is more suitable foe small frames and is only offered as one regular size. After contacting customer service at vriksana i was able to order the belt I needed from Amazon. I am 5 feet and about 103 pounds. Small frames may find the smaller size more comfortable. The Vriksasana rep was very helpful.

Better than nothing
I have a different kind which coated me $$$ but it worked well until I gained so much weight. So I got this one hoping works like a magic, but it stretch so well that I don't feel much support on my back. If tied too strong, it will be uncomfortable. But it is better than nothing. If I got orthopedic supporter from medical doctor with insurance (?), it's usually less than $30 and this one price is not expensive. I just keep it until I find my ideal one.

Finally Pain Free
After consulting Dr. Google and deducing that my back pain resulting from a night of bowling 4 weeks ago was most likely due to an SI injury, I decided to try this product. I put it on as soon as it arrived 3 days ago and I have been pain free since. I kid you not, I have not had one minute of pain after having constant pain for 4 weeks with total intolerance to sitting. I can sit comfortably at work and get my job done without even thinking about the pain. I wish my own doctor could have figured this out before I wasted a whole weekend doped up on muscle relaxers that did nothing to help with the pain. I highly recommend this product. It is very well made and worth every penny. Ladies, I also recommend wearing boycut underwear to protect your skin at the top of your legs if you’re going to wear this under jeans or at night while you sleep. A great product, I would definitely buy again.

Too narrow
First the good. Seems to be of good quality. Easy to put on and remove. The brace itself is just to narrow and more like an extra wide belt. I am not built like the model in the pictures so the brace "rolls" down and becomes very narrow. So, if you have a "middle aged gut" this brace is not for you. I'll be ordering a different product. I wore it for three day so sadly I cannot return it.
