I bought the BG Electrical Outdoor Double Switched Power Wall Plug Socket for use in my garden and shed, and overall I’m very impressed. It feels solid and durable straight out of the box, with a robust design that gives me confidence it’ll last through all types of weather. The IP66 weatherproof rating means it handles rain and dust reliably, which is exactly what I needed for outdoor power tools and lighting. The installation was straightforward with clearly marked terminals and multiple cable entry points — even for a non-professional DIYer like me it was easy to fit. The switches click confidently and the hinged cover feels sturdy enough to protect against moisture. Compared to other outdoor sockets I’ve looked at, this one offers excellent value for money. It’s priced well and performs just as well (if not better) than more expensive alternatives. Minor note: the latch on the cover is a bit snug at first, but that just means a tighter weather seal once installed. 👍 Pros: • Solid build quality and reliable weatherproofing • Easy to install with clear instructions • Great value compared to alternatives 👎 Cons: • Cover latch can be a bit tight initially Would highly recommend this outdoor double socket for anyone needing a dependable outdoor power solution!
