Visit layla.eco/compatibility for the full list of supported systems. 2 Estimated energy savings of up to 30% are based on internal testing in residential settings where HVAC systems were previously running on fixed schedules regardless of occupancy. Actual savings vary depending on home size, local climate, existing HVAC efficiency, and usage patterns. 3 Layla connects via 2.4GHz Wi-Fi. A stable home Wi-Fi network is required for real-time alerts, app access, and Eco Mode control. Some features may be limited during network outages. 4 Noise alerts are based on configurable decibel thresholds set by the user in the Layla app. Alerts are informational only and are not a substitute for emergency response systems. 5 Air quality readings reflect particulate matter (PM2.5), VOC levels, CO₂, and humidity as detected by Layla's onboard sensors. Readings are intended to help users understand environmental trends and are not a certified medical or regulatory measurement device. 6 Mold risk scoring is calculated from temperature and humidity data using established environmental risk models. It is an estimate only and should not replace a professional mold inspection. 7 Water leak detection requires Layla's optional external leak sensor accessory (sold separately). Layla's onboard sensors detect humidity changes that may indicate leaks but are not a substitute for dedicated flood detection hardware. 8 Smoke and harmful gas detection is based on sensor readings for particulate matter and VOC spikes. Layla is not a certified smoke detector or CO detector and does not replace dedicated life-safety devices required by local building codes. 9 Occupancy and motion detection uses passive infrared (PIR) technology on Layla 2.0 and radar-based detection on Layla 3rd Generation. No images or video are ever recorded. Privacy Shield mode disables all motion detection on demand. 10 "82% fewer complaints" reflects results reported by property managers using Layla in short-term rental settings in an internal survey conducted in Q4 2024. Individual results will vary. 11 Layla plugs into any standard 100-240V outlet. No hub, bridge, or professional installation is required. Wall or shelf mounting accessories are available separately. Review: THE GLOBALISTS FEAR MY AIR CONDITIONER AND I AM NOT CALM ABOUT IT - I bought this Layla smart air conditioner controller because my place gets hot. Simple problem. I want cool air. I press a button. The machine works. That is the deal. But the moment I opened the box I could feel it. Something big. Something the globalists do not want you to notice. This thing connects your regular AC to WiFi. You control it with your phone. You set schedules. You change the temperature while you sit on the couch or while you are across town. The sensor reads the room and adjusts the cooling so the place stays steady. Normal people call that convenience. I call that power. The unit is small. Clean design. It sits near the AC and reads the temperature in the room. Setup took a few minutes. No weird wiring. You plug it in. Connect the app. Done. Now the AC responds like it suddenly grew a brain. And this is where the frogs come in. Because I am sitting there testing the scheduling feature and the temperature sensor kicks the AC on right when the room warms up. Perfect timing. Perfect balance. Efficient energy use. Lower electricity bill. And I hear the voice in my head yelling the classic line. THEY ARE TURNING THE FROGS GAY. Now listen. I am not saying the controller did that. I am saying the people who do not want you controlling your own environment hate technology like this. They want you sweating. They want you uncomfortable. They want you weak so you buy more junk. But with this little device you control the climate of your own home. You wake up and the room is already cool. You leave the house and turn the AC off from your phone. You come back and the place feels perfect. The built in sensor keeps the temperature steady. No wild swings. No wasted power. Just smooth cooling. That is when my brain goes to the next level of madness. Interdimensional predators. Stay with me here. If there were energy vampires living in some shadow dimension they would love chaos. They would love waste. They would love homes blasting AC all day for no reason. But this controller shuts that down. It runs the system when it needs to. It saves energy. It keeps things balanced. So if there are interdimensional predators feeding on inefficient electricity usage then this device just kicked them straight in the teeth. And then the big one hit me. Transhumanism. The elites want humans merged with machines. They want control over every system. Every environment. Every signal. But here is the twist. This little controller flips that idea upside down. The machine works for you. You hold the phone. You set the schedule. You decide when the room cools down. You stay human. The machine obeys. I tested the remote control from outside the house. Turned the AC on before I got home. Walked inside to perfect cool air. No waiting. No blasting the system all day. That is the kind of quiet victory the globalists hate. The hardware feels solid. The app works without drama. The sensor reacts quickly when the room warms up. Setup was simple enough that I finished before my coffee cooled down. If you own a mini split or a remote controlled AC this turns it into a smart system without replacing the unit. Which means more control for you. And less chaos for the energy vampires. So yes. I recommend it. Because comfort matters. Efficiency matters. And sometimes the smallest piece of tech reminds you that you still run your own house. And that is a beautiful thing. The setup process was relatively straightforward, though I did encounter a few hiccups getting it to connect to my WiFi network initially. After a couple of tries, it finally linked up and has been reliable since. When it sends commands to the mini split, the unit does emit a beep, which is a bit of an annoyance, and I'm hopeful there's a setting to disable that in the future. While the core functionality for HVAC control is there, I'm a bit disappointed by some of the additional aspects. The product page doesn't mention that some of its capabilities, beyond basic HVAC, seem to be tied to a subscription service, which feels a little deceptive. Integration with my existing smart home ecosystem also leaves something to be desired. It did pair with Alexa, but the exposed controls are quite limited. Furthermore, it doesn't currently work with Home Assistant, although I appreciate that the company has been responsive about providing API access, so perhaps that will change. Overall, it achieves its main goal of controlling my mini split, but I wish it offered more seamless integration into my broader smart home setup and was more transparent about its subscription model.

Very easy to use with the app.
Although expensive, the smart sensor is well worth the money that will be saved by turning your split AC unit or heat pump into a smart machine. There is an app that is actually quite easy to use and download and works with Alexa and Google home. You can set up this smart sensor to control your air conditioning to a point where it'll turn on at certain times of the day and shut off when you don't need it. Or, you can control it remotely with your phone if nobody's home and you left the AC on, you can shut it off with the app. This particular model also contains the smoke sensor and a carbon monoxide detector built into it. The smart technology has intelligent automation that automatically adapts to changes in the environment to save you energy. Overtime I will know more about how well this will work for me. But seeing the graphs in the app lets you have instant access to the data of how much energy you are using. And what temperatures are ideal for you at different times of the day. This is a very impressive device that will pay for itself in little time.

They need it up north for reasons lol
I really wanted this to be great but it was difficult to connect, hasn’t worked, isn’t compatible with my other smart home items, and is just all around useless. I think it’s meant for window units or something for ppl up north that only use AC a few months per year

Easy setup and great remote control for any AC
This smart AC controller turns any regular window unit or mini split into a WiFi controlled appliance. Setup through the app was straightforward and it connected to my home network on the first try. The built in temperature sensor reads the room accurately, which helps with scheduling and automation. Being able to turn the AC on from my phone before getting home is really convenient, especially during the summer. I also set up a schedule so it kicks on before I wake up in the morning. The app is clean and responsive, and it works with voice assistants for hands free control. The device itself is compact and sits nicely near the AC unit without being in the way. Overall, a smart upgrade for anyone with a traditional AC unit. Easy to install and the app makes it simple to control from anywhere. Very satisfied with this purchase.

Energy Saver When I Couldn't Upgrade Thermostat
This does exactly what it's advertised to do. It let me convert a standard AC/thermostat into a smart device. While there are smart thermostats cheaper than this adpater/controller, there are some situations where you can't switch thermostats yourself, and that's where this comes into play. I am using this for rented office space. This DOES work. I use a smart thermostat at home, and this allows me to do the same things other than the voice commands. I can control the temperature from an app on my phone, which means adjusting it throughout the day and setting it to schedule temperature changes at night versus before I come to work in the morning, which is a money saver. The temperature sensor is responsive, and being free standing means it can read the center of the room and not be thrown off by being too close to a window. The app is responsive, and there isn't a too long delay between adjustments and command responses. Set up was straightforward. Pairing to my WiFi and setting up the app was intuitive and user friendly. Connectivity hasn't been an issue at all.

It helps to keep the house at a consistent temp
I’ve been using this with my AC and it’s been a really nice upgrade. Setup was pretty straightforward and I was able to get everything connected without too much trouble. Being able to control it remotely has been super convenient and it responds quickly. It’s made managing the temperature a lot easier overall and I’ve been really happy with it so far.

Perfect addition for a mini split
Definitely a life saver! Really nice quality and easy to look at. It was very easy to set up and even easier to use. I find it very annoying to walk into a room that the temperature is just beyond uncomfortable, and this is perfect for preventing that. It’s very easy to monitor and adjust remotely. I personally feel that it’s definitely worth it.
