An efficient nano usb adapter. The driver CD installed effortlessly. However, Kaspersky warned me of two potentially dangerous programmes during driver installation. Bur, generally some elements of network drivers are always shown as "potentially dangerous" by security software. Therefore I took the risk and let it pass. This adapter could be bought for wifi reception within short distances.

The chipset of the item I received is Realtek RTL8188CUS, so I got the V1 (not V2) version. If you are looking for a specific chipset you may be making a gamble but my risk paid off.I bought this to use with a laptop whose built-in wifi doesn't have drivers for OpenBSD. The device works perfectly on OpenBSD 7.3 via the urtwn driver (included with OpenBSD).The device also works well on Linux without any additional drivers, I'm running kernel version 5.15.104.The device has a small green LED which when I was first setting up the device was blinking (not sure what this means), but after initial setup it has stayed solid green. The LED is not too bright.I’m very happy with this device so far.

I bought this wireless adaptor to use with Neverware's CloudReady OS (Chromium), since my laptop wireless hardware/ drive is not supported by the OS. Good news is that it worked, bad news is that my router is behind one door and one plaster wall. This was enough to drop the connection speed from 30mb/s (by the router) to 1.5mb/s where I really use my laptop. I don't have this issue with any of my other laptops. So, it is OK if you have a direct line of sight of the router if not, I would avoid this product.

Oder es wurde eine Wlan Verbindung angezeigt, aber kein Internet Zugriff.Nach Herunterladen und Installieren des Treibers von der Offiziellen Homepage des Herstellers, ging es nun.Jedoch recht geringe DL-Geschwindigkeiten und allgemeiner Ping um die 100-150 sind hier die Regel.Wer nur 5€ hat, für den ist dieser Stick eventuell ausreichend, oder zum einfach checken der Mails etc. aber erst NACH dem installieren der Software (Die auch auf CD-ROM beliegt, was nichts bringt, da ich kein Laufwerk habe).Jedoch NICHT geeignet zum Downloaden, SPielen etc.2 Sterne NUR weil es am Ende doch irgendwie funktioniert und weil der stick keine 5 € kostet
