It stopped holding a charge; I’d plug it into the wall and it would just blink at me, which isn't exactly helpful when you’re stranded.### **The AAA Reality Check**I realized the battery was dead on a freezing Monday morning in February after my car had sat for a week. To make matters worse, I found out my AAA membership had lapsed because I forgot to update my credit card info. They wanted **$160 for a one-time jump**, which is absolute insanity. A local tow truck wanted $50, and I knew exactly what that guy was going to show up with: a JNC unit just like mine. Instead of paying for a single jump, I decided to spend **$40 on a replacement battery** and fix it myself.### **The "Easy-Bake" Installation**Replacing the battery was a fun, 45-minute project. Be prepared to remove a lot of screws, but it’s a straightforward swap. The only minor hurdle was that the terminals on the new rechargeable battery were a bit smaller and more "flimsy" than the original beefy ones. The original screws wouldn't fit through the new holes, and the screws that came with the new battery were short, leaving very little wiggle room. It was a tight fit, but with a little focus, I got it locked down.### **Performance & Value**The experiment worked. The unit charges perfectly now and has already jumped a car without a hitch. If you have a car in that **8 to 10-year range**, especially in the winter when the cold kills battery life, having one of these in your trunk is common sense. You don't need a brand-new car, but you do need to be self-sufficient.### **The Verdict**Don't throw the whole unit away just because the battery died. For forty bucks and less than an hour of work, you can resurrect your JNC and avoid those predatory "emergency service" fees. It’s a great piece of gear, and being able to fix it yourself makes it even better.

Perfect replacement for JNC-660 jump box. This is a lead acid battery however, which likely will not last as long as the original VRLA battery that lasted 13 years for me.

These were really what I needed for my mobility scooter. It had stopped dead and I was without it for a couple of month. Someone recommended these batteries to replace the ones we had. It fixed the poblem immediately and they last a lot longer. They’re heavier but worth the longer last time.

This is a bit unfortunate for me. I very rarely review things that have a zero star, but I'm 10 months in I've been starting my generator every month religiously on the first of the month and running it for half an hour to 60 minutes and my battery seems to have gone bad. I just had to jump start it, and I ran it for an hour. After running it for an hour, a long hour, the voltage was still only 11 volts. This is disappointing I will not be choosing mighty Max batteries anymore. I was using it on a Northstar e9250s. When I bought the battery, it was a little more of a battery than my generator called for.

EDIT: Upgraded review from three stars to five because of the excellent resolution from Mighty Max (see below for original issue.) I contacted them directly via their chat support, and within 24 hours, they responded, acknowledging that a year-old battery was not acceptable. They immediately shipped out a new one with a recent date code at no cost via 2-day mail.Although it will be a pain to have to change out this one battery in the string, I was relieved that both that there WAS easy-to-access support for such an inexpensive battery, and that they recognized it was a problem - the battery did work, so I was expecting some resistance, but got none. They did not even request a return of the old one. Mistakes can happen, and this seems to have been an Amazon inventory management issue rather than the manufacturer, so I'm comfortable giving five stars - so far, the batteries are working great.Original title: Watch Out - Amazing is shipping OLD STOCKI ordered four batteries for a mobility scooter, and based on date codes, four were manufactured less than a month ago, while one was made in May 2022. Although it still works, the old battery came charged to a lower voltage (12.4v, about 75%), and will not charge to the same voltage the others will. I expect this battery to wear out before others in the string, forcing early replacement of all of them.I suggest ordering the multi-pack batteries if you will be using them in a series pack, even though the shipping takes longer. You will are more likely to get a matched set, I imagine.

This was a perfect fit replacement battery for my battery booster pack. The booster pack works just like new now! Seems to hold the charge for quite some time. Was relatively easy to change.

had ordered 2 of these 4 years ago and had used them on my lite trolling motor. the manufacturers estimate of service life 0f 3-5 years looks very good. wish i could say same for2 new ones--same company,exact same batteries--that arrived last week. both dead as a rock on arrival. called customer service Amazon to report and now waiting for the required 5 working days needed to see if any further cafuffel before am credited.
