For example, my 17.3" HP laptop (model 17-g121wm) has a width of 16.49". The internal dimensions of this bag are 16.5" wide. So while my laptop might JUST fit in this bag, 1/100th of an inch is a little too tight to risk it, in my opinion. So posting here for anyone else with the same doubts. It is able to hold an Asus GL504GM(2.4kg), power adapter, silicon power a60 external HDD, wired mouse & headphones and an xbox one controller. As you can see from the pic it didn't look too stuffed. Swapping out for wireless mouse and headphones should save you some space. You may be able to squeeze in a book or two. Material was better than expected, but don't think it'll take real rough usage.
