My last Camelbak lasted me 14 years with almost daily use including military use and I've been sold on the brand ever since.. You can't go wrong with these. Prices may be higher than other brands but they are definitely worth the price.
Review: Great bag! - The bag: It is a great bag, enough space to take with you whatever you want or to minimise it with the straps if you don't need so much to take with you. The waist belt is not removable, but stowable. Had to puzzle a bit to stow it away without resulting in pressure point on my back. Did not test it in warm environment yet. The back of the bag is shaped and will distribute the weight on your lumbar/hips, feels quite comfortable! I've used the bag for a month now.

**Q: Hello,  i’m looking to buy the skirmish hydration plus cargo pack; is the condor outdoor slim battle belt is compatible, or other camelbak type?**
A: Thanks for writing in.  Not sure about the Condor battle belt; but, this pack is pretty conventional in the way it rides on your back and hips.  If you don't use the attached waist belt, you should have no problem wearing some other battle belt along with the pack.

**Q: thinking of buying this pack for a ski trip in Montana. Is this pack is too bulking for glade/tree runs?**
A: It is a larger pack, along the lines of a 72 hour patrol pack. Smaller than a full sized ruck, but bigger than a common school backpack.

**Q: Is this a pack that would be good for everyday use, like school?**
A: I purchased it for my son in college for that reason. Might not have enough storage space for lots of books, though.

**Q: Can you remove the hip belt/strap on this backpack?**
A: There is no quick disconnect for the belt strap, but there is a built in pocket that you can stuff each end of the belt into to keep it hidden and out of the way.  It is at the bottom and well padded so you would never know the belt is in there.  hth

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Camelbak Quality

I have several Camelbak military bags and they all are top notch in terms of quality and the Skirmish is no exception. My only complaints about the Skirmish is this is a pretty heavy bag for it's size. It has a pretty substantial frame sheet and aluminum stays, which are beneficial for shifting/equalizing the load to the hip belt, but this unpadded hip belt is wholly inadequate of handling this bag when full. Wish camelbak would have used they same hip belt they used their trizip. I might try to remove the frame sheet and stays to see If I can lighten it up some.
