Are those that bought this product recently still complaining about a toxic smell?

I just bought these and the smell is horribly strong. I noticed it as soon as I opened the package and it's giving me a headache (the cupcakes are currently about 5 feet away).

Have these toys really been tested for lead?

Learning Resources takes the health and well-being of our customers seriously. We go to great lengths to ensure all of our products are tested and are both BPA and lead compliant. This product has been tested and is compliant to the standards set by the CPSIA, including lead. Please reach out to us at reviews@learningresources.com if you have further questions.

Do these toys contain pvc? where are they made?
