It's also a little lighter than the Intense version without the incense of that cologne. But that doesn't make this any less excellent. It actually makes it more versatile, less likely to offend, and more wearable. I own both versions and I don't really think they are redundant. Similar yes. But they each have their own occasion and seasons. This is more of a year round fragrance that could even be used on a cool summer night. Intense is a fall and winter only thing because it's so dark and powerful.
