Scribing near corners can be challenging, as the tool requires about 6” of wall to function properly. However, once you understand and work around this minor setback, the tool's benefits far outweigh this specific limitation. Works.. the pencil is loose and if your trying to hold a work piece it's not good. I had to wrap my pencil in some electrical tape to get a tight fit.

This is a handy little gadget that makes it really easy to mark spacing when you're scribing. Each side is a different distance from the pencil, which lets you adjust your margin as needed. It's a bit on the pricey side ($15 at the time of this writing) given its size, but feels like it'll be durable and way better than a cheap 3D printed item that you might find online. While I'll keep it handy for use in the workshop and on household projects, I actually bought it for sewing. It's the perfect little thingy to mark seam allowances and trace embroidery hoops, especially when I want to tweak the size a bit for other projects.

Why would this scriber be shipped from China (took close to a month to receive it) but the product clearly has MADE IN USA right on it? That's obviously false advertising. How laughable!

It’s made of cheap plastic that’s been 3d printed and I t has a horrible joint along the inside making it extremely difficult to put your pencil in it. The only thing I’ll give it is that the measurements are accurate. You’d be better off going to lee valley and buying the proper one for a similar price
