I imagine it would work although you'd be scrubbing for a while.

Can you use it on carpet?

The instructions say it can be used on metals, bathroom and kitchen surfaces, delicate smooth surfaces, cars, boats, bicycles, barbecues, sneakers, vinyl seats, etc., but no mention of carpets.

Would this take the yellow out of my white shoes?

There is a video on TikTok of a poster using it to clean her very dirty cloth part of her shoes and yes it worked fantastic. On TikTik just type in Universal Stone on shoes in search and her video pops up.
