Prestige Vegetable Cutter, a small and handy contraption which consists of just three parts, a small vessel, a removable blade assembly and a lid with a pull string to operate the cutting mechanism is very effective in what it promises to do in the kitchen. Just six pulls are all it takes to cut two medium sized onions already cleaned and cut into quarter pieces to an almost uniform size pieces suitable for any recipes or salads. There is more to it! It doesn't cut just onions. It is a versatile cutter which could cut almost any vegetables and even cooked meat if you are a non-vegetarian. Now, the limitations of the product. Yes it's a wonderful product but has it's own limitation too! 1. The weakest link in the contraption is the pull string. I think that the pull string might be susceptible to damage in the long term or if you overload the contraption in the very short term. And this will end it's useful life and may simply turn it to a kitchen storage unit with a glorified past! Hence be careful with it's operation and especially with the first pulls when contents like carrots may lead to locking of the blade mechanism. In such situations, you can simply ease the pull string and retry or open the lid and remove the stuck pieces from the blades and start anew the cutting in a safe way. Yes the bottom line is simple. Don't use excessive force on the pull string. 2. The capacity of the cutter is somewhat very limited, especially in the context of big Indian families. You can fill only half the container or to the level of second blade from the bottom for the safe usage of the product. 3. Since the lid contains the moving mechanical parts and the spring loaded string which are susceptible to water damage, you are not supposed wash it either. Yes, you can clean it by wet clothes. In the rare case of water entry in to the lid, the user is expected to open just the small designated part on the bottom of the lid which could be opened only by using suitable coins and dry it off completely before using again the cutter. In any case, the user is not expected to open the screws on the bottom of the lid which holds the mechanism. 4. **Q: sir is the warranty card also given if we purchase**
A: Yes it comes with warranty card but unstamped as the box is packed. So before approaching for warranty make sure invoice copy is ready along with warranty slip

**Q: can we use for coconut chopping?**
A: I think yes, we have not chopped the coconut but by seeing the sharpness of blades I think it can chop the "Wet fresh coconut also" but not sure for dry coconut. It chops onion, tomato, ginger etc. very fast

**Q: Can we use it to Chop onions ?**
A: Yes, we can.  We have to cross-cut the onions first, and put it in this machine.  At a time, we can put 2-3 onions according to their size.  The Onions can be chopped in the Gobi Manchurian size in just 4 pulls, 3 pulls are enough for salad size and need 5-7 pulls for small cuts.

**Q: What to do if thread gets broken and is it possible to sharp the cutter ?**
A: I have been using the cutter for the past 10 months now and the thread seems to be pretty strong. Also, I dont think its possible to sharp the cutter. However, the blades are very sturdy and dont require any sharpening.

Yes, here is a wonderful product which finally ends the long lasting relationship of tear jerks and onions in the kitchen! Please don't think I am exaggerating! No,it's nothing but the truth!. Prestige Vegetable Cutter, a small and handy contraption which consists of just three parts, a small vessel, a removable blade assembly and a lid with a pull string to operate the cutting mechanism is very effective in what it promises to do in the kitchen. Just six pulls are all it takes to cut two medium sized onions already cleaned and cut into quarter pieces to an almost uniform size pieces suitable for any recipes or salads. There is more to it! It doesn't cut just onions. It is a versatile cutter which could cut almost any vegetables and even cooked meat if you are a non-vegetarian. Now, the limitations of the product. The best kitchen tool ever! Especially for people who have recently entered kitchen for cooking! :) This is one of the only kitchen tools which works as it should be and conistently! Very ideal for onions, tomatoes, carrots, cucumbers, doodhi, capsicum...and so! a) Onion - Cut onion in 4 pieces and place it and this wonderful gadget shreds it in few seconds (many Indian recipes require onion and it becomes difficult for anyone who is at the job of cutting onions) b) Tomato - Cut tomato in halves or large ones in 4 pieces. This cutter is a great way to make a semi solid tomato puree in few seconds. c) Carrots - Carrots are little harder than any other veggies so make 1 inch pieces and it shreds without any hassle. Caution: Since carrots are hard, it requires little more strength to operate this cutter. However do not use all the force. :) d) Cucumber - In Maharashtrian cuisine, Kaakadi chi Koshimbir (Cucumber Raita) is very famous. This cutter does shred the cucumber in few seconds. Again, cut the cucumber in 1 to 1.5 inch pieces and there you go! e) Bottle Gourd (Doodhi Bhoplaa) - Peel the doodhi and make 2 inch pieces and within seconds the shredded doodhi is ready for Doodhi Halwaa! Best gadget to make quick preperations for Maharashtra's favourite recipe Paav Bhaaji! Using instruction: It requires hardly any force to cut above mentioned veggies. Do not apply too much of force or do not pull out the thread too long. Washing Care: You can wash in the running water except for the cover (lid) which has the mechanism to rotate the handle inside. Just wipe it with a damp cloth or towel. Do not use rough scrubber to wash. Sponge is enough. Do not keep the blades in the water for long. Also take care while wiping/washing the blades...these are really really very sharp!!! Do not keep in the direct sunlight or near the gas stove for drying! Conclusion: Do not ever compare this gadget with anything else in the market, instead of buying a new mobile cover, invest 1,100 in this and your life will be easier for ever!
