Added to this is the premium you are paying for a brand like Prismacolor. Therefore it's in your best interests that you buy a specialised sharpener that ensures the soft lead does not break during the sharpening process. You'll find that this sharpener quickly pays for itself. I have three such units **Q: Can i sharp the worlson pastel pencils? Because they are quite thicker than the normal one.** A: THis sharpener has two holes (as shown in image also), but both are of standard size. I don't think it would fit a thicker pencil. **Q: Can use faber castle polychromos to sharp with this prisma sharpener?** A: Yes you can ...the item is good . There is one issue however I am unable to find out as to how to empty the sharpened contents.
