this is the quintescential chris farely movie. all his best stuff rolled into one. he and david spade make a great comedy team. this is a movie you will never grow tired of. you could watch it every groundhog day, arbor day, flag day, boxing day and other holiday's too, and never grow tired of it. don't bother renting it, you'll just end up buying anyway. there are so many funny moments; some that require rewinding because you've laughed so hard you missed the following dialog. i laughed myself out of my seat during the deer scene. you will "feel like a horse's patute" if you don't see this movie. this is one of the funniest movie of all time. E! ranked it in the top 30 of funnist movies ever, but i think it deserves a higher rank. get this along with "the best of chris farley's on SNL ("down by the river," "the nino," chirs farley show, chippendale, etc)" to get the most hilarious moments and scenes of chris. we love you chris! you will continue to make us laugh forever. i will definately be that guy that forces his kids to watch "grown-up humor" movies. this movie is definately kablamo!

Tommy Boy (1995) is a film starring Chris Farley, David Spade, Brian Dennehy, Dan Aykroyd, Bo Derek, Julie Warner, and Rob Lowe. Although Farley and Spade play different characters, many still consider it the prequel to Black Sheep (1996). In both films, the modern day Laurel & Hardy embark on a road trip to save the day. In Black Sheep it was so Farley's Character could save his brother's campaign for Governor; in Tommy Boy it is to save the family business following his father's untimely death. The Callaghan factory produces high quality brake pads but only having just graduated from high school after 7 years, Tommy is in at the deep end. Even worse there are some unsavoury characters who try to stop him from succeeding. I really don't want to give anything away so, suffice to say, there are some hilarious encounters for the duo whilst on their road trip, a great soundtrack and score, and Farley's over-the-top slapstick style alongside Spade's sarcastic deadpan humour works well. In both films, Spade is hired to babysit the well-meaning but incompetent Farley; and yet, Spade's character is never as smart as he would like to believe. Tommy Boy is known as a Saturday Night Live spin-off (like Billy Madison, Black Sheep, Happy Gilmore, and Wayne's World 1 & 2). There are echoes of some 1980's comedies here, such as Planes, Trains, and Automobiles, and it is nice to see veteran comedian Dan Aykroyd on board. A feel-good comedy with plenty of laughs and some great cameos from Dan Aykroyd and Rob Lowe. Je l'avais vu au Québec... c'est idiot à pleurer... de rire. La scène de "bambi" vaut de déplacement à elle toute seule ! Trop sérieux s'abstenir !
