That's it really, So why the groaning and gripes? I'll address those. Firstly, Cable reels like these are meant to be fully unwound before use due to the limitations of the power carrying capacity of the cable; otherwise any unwound will tend to heat up and initially melt the outer covering. Secondly: Cable reel plugs don't have on/off switches. Thirdly: Before purchasing Cable reels; assess reason; likely usage and overall convenience. I purchased this one because the length was right; the number of plugs were right; it's power capacity was right and it represented good value. It loses one star as I feel it's cartridge is overall too flimsy which makes unwinding difficult and rewinding extremely difficult.
