The Canadian version isn’t contaminated like the American counterpart. **Q: Are these peanut and tree nut free?** A: The package does not actually say it is peanut and tree nut free. However, I have read that any Kit Kat's manufactured in Canada are peanut and tree nut safe. I bought these for my son who is allergic to peanuts and tree nuts, and he had been eating then with zero symptoms or reactions. He always had mild reactions to the ones processed in the US, which he ate before we knew he was allergic.
