AWESOME LIGHT!!! Worth the purchase!
I upgraded to this light since my Dwarf Hairgrass carpet was not growing like it should have been with the cheap Hygger light I had on it. I put this on the tank, set it up with the easy-to-follow instructions, and it works great! Looks just like natural sunlight shining into the tank, and can get nearly as bright! It really makes colors pop! It ramps up and down for sunrise-sunset, you can set what time you want it to turn on, manually turn it on and off without screwing up your previous settings, adjust the brightness, and more! My only complaint (if you can even call it that) is the fact that it isn't water-proof like my other lights. That's fine, since I have a glass top on the tank I put it on, but even so, I like not having to worry about dropping my lights in the water. I definitely recommend this purchase, and it was surprisingly affordable for the design and performance I've seen thus far from Nicrew.

Nice light that is a good value, just don't get it wet
I have 3 of these, and one died after it got wet. However, the instructions clearly say not to get it wet, so that's on me. Of course, it would be preferable if it had something like an IP68 rating for water resistance, given that it literally is designed to be placed next to a water source, lol. Otherwise, the timer offers simple lighting control that is probably good enough for the average fish keeper and is a core component in keeping algae under control.

Great NICREW LED Lights for Glass Tank!
These NICREW LED lights are the best! I am growing orchids in one of my tanks and the light into the tank with these lights is bright and should great for growing the orchids.

Great value, but not for high light demanding planted tanks.
I bought this light for use with my ADA 60P planted tank, which measures at just under 24" across (60cm). This light is decently built, but warns it is not water resistant. It was easy to set up with the sliding arms and works well with the timer I purchased separately. The light is pretty bright and should be good for medium and low light plants, but will struggle with carpeting plants such as HC, Monte Carlo, and Glossostigma. As I was dry starting my tank, I had some gloss planted in the foreground to carpet the bottom of the substrate. After a few weeks, while there was signs of a little growth, it was not the growth I was hoping for. No new runners, no explosive growth, just a little change in height. I ended up buying a Twinstar II 600S, and after running it for a week I noticed an immediate difference in growth. I now use this light in my 7 gallon nano tank and while it's a bit too big for the tank, it does work well and plants are thriving in it. It is a good value and overall a nice light, but just be warned that it's not a light for a heavily planted tank with demanding plants.

I Liked the First One I Got So Much I Bought Another For My Second Tank
I have 2 of these lights. The first one is an older version with a simple toggle type switch that gives me 3 options- Bright white light, off or blue light and the second one has an upgraded push button type control that gives me 4 levels of white light, off and blue light. I had the older version with the toggle switch control (30-36 inch) on my Amazon Wish List for my 36 Gallon Bow Front tank and received it as a gift for Christmas 2020 from my husband. I really like this light. The light is the right size for my tank but the metal stands on the ends do slip off of the sides of the cover of my aquarium. I ended up securing them with small strips of duct tape so it isn't an issue for me. Next time I might go a size smaller to see if the actual light part is still the right size but honestly, it wasn't enough of a bother to return it for a smaller size. My plants seem to be doing well with it. I had a little extra algae growth with it which I think is due to the light being a bit too bright for my tank so I decreased the number of hours I keep it turned on. I have a dimmer on order that should be coming in soon so hopefully that'll help bring the brightness down. Since a dimmer can be added, I don't think the brightness or inability for adjust the brightness on the control takes away from the light bar overall, especially at it's price point. I liked the first light bar I got so much that when the light bar on my 10 gallon planted guppy tank finally broke, I replaced it with another NICREW Classic LED Plus Planted Aquarium Light (18-24 inches). This light bar fits perfectly on the cover of my 10 gallon aquarium and does not overhang off of the sides of the cover. This light bar is different from my other one which I assume is because it's an newer version. It certainly seems improved. The control on this one is adjustable which is nice so instead of only 1 option for white light on the old one, I have a choice of different levels of the white light. It was easy to use after reading the clear instructions in the booklet that comes with it. The first setting of white light is pretty bright so I set it to the lowest setting (if memory serves, I believe there's 4 setting for white light). It's still pretty new to me so I haven't quite figured out the correct brightness yet. So far my plants and my guppies seem happy so that's good. I actually prefer the warmth of color of the white on the first setting so I've also ordered a dimmer for this light too. The lowest white light setting adds more of a blue tint to the light that I'm not as fond of. Overall, I like both of the NICREW Classic LED Plus Planted Aquarium Lights and would purchase them again.

Great "low tech" light for the money!
I have a 40 gallon breeder tank heavily planted with low tech plants like Anubis, crypts, some moss and a ton of guppy grass. Nothing incredibly care intensive mind you. For years I had used a very expensive ($150 at the time) Finnex planted plus 24/7. It was a great light that cycled through day and night lights to mimic the sun. However, it never seemed like enough and even though I have a low tech tank the growth was extremely slow. Loved the features and ease of use but disappointed with the light output Unfortunately it died on me. I needed a replacement quick so jumped on here and found this one. Some pretty good reviews, more basic in features, but with a wall outlet timer for $5, it seemed like it would work. Honestly, i've been blown away with it's performance. I've had it for close to a year now and it's been amazing. The light output is much higher than the other without seeming like it's blinding the inside of the tank. I don't currently have it raised at all, as it's only 2 inches above the water, and the plant growth in my tank has been outstanding. All my plants are generating new growth, the moss and guppy grass is exploding to where I have to toss handfuls of it every other week. Anubias, which are typically slow growers, are growing much faster, taller, and fuller than ever before! For $40... i'm super impressed. I'm not sure how this light would do with higher tech tanks, as in tanks that have more intensive plants, CO2, etc... but for most fish hobbyists I bet this would do the trick. I'm sure some of the negative reviews come from them breaking down quickly or arriving non operational, and unfortunately you take that risk with every "electrical" item out there. My $150 finnex light should have lasted a few years longer, but it didn't. So coming from somebody who, I would say, is fairly experienced in the hobby, this has been a great light.

Quality aquarium light
This is the second Nicrew light I have purchased for my aquariums. I originally purchased the Classic model for my 15 gallon tank and I liked it so much I came back and purchased a Classic Plus for my 56 gallon. Both are quality lights, well built with excellent output. This one is solid aluminum construction with extendable brackets - in fact it came with two types of brackets, one for thin framed aquariums and another for thicker frames which is very nice. It has a switch that allows you to go from full spectrum to blue only for a nighttime effect but I don't use it since all my lights are on timers. It does give a nice look though if that's what you're going for. A comment about customer service: I have been absolutely amazed at the quality of the customer service at Nicrew and will probably be buying products from them for a long time because of it. When I ordered my second light it arrived with a dead transformer. I knew it was the transformer because I plugged the light in with the transformer from my previous purchase and it worked fine. So I contacted customer service and asked them to send me a new transformer. Because the item is fulfilled by Amazon they aren't able to send out transformers without a light so they asked me if I would be alright with them sending me out a return from someone else's order - their logic was that it probably wasn't returned for a dead transformer so I could just take the transformer from that package and have a working light and this way they wouldn't have to waste an entire working light. That sounded like a good plan to me so I agreed it was worth the risk. They immediately sent out the package via UPS but UPS lost it. I eventually saw the tracking slip and it was terrible. UPS sent it all the way from Arizona to Virginia then from Virginia to Washington state, then to Ohio and Illinois and West Virginia before finally making it back to Virginia again. This was completely the fault of UPS - Nicrew had nothing to do with the lost package, but they felt so bad about it that they sent me a really nice algae scraper as a gift. Ironically when the return light arrived the person who had returned it hadn't bothered to put all the pieces back in so it arrived without the transformer I needed. I contacted Nicrew again and told them the plan hadn't worked, and once again they felt terrible about it, apologizing for wasting so much of my time (even though 90% of the wasted time was actually UPS not Nicrew!). At that point they decided to send me a brand new light and told me I didn't even need to bother returning the two lights they had already sent me - both of which worked, they just didn't have working transformers! So I now have three working lights, even though I can only plug in one at a time, and an algae scraper. Amazing! And through it all the Nicrew representative was very nice and quickly responded to all of my messages. They are in a different time zone so most of their responses came in the middle of the night, but they responded to every single email and even periodically checked up on the progress when I hadn't emailed them in a couple of days while waiting on UPS. Really a great experience despite the problems, I happily recommend buying this and any other Nicrew product you may be interested in.

Bright, Adjustable, and Perfect for My Aquarium Setup!
I bought the NICREW ClassicLED Plus 15W light for my 20-inch aquarium, and it’s been a fantastic upgrade. The light is sleek, easy to install, and fits perfectly on tanks between 18 to 24 inches. It provides a beautiful balance of daylight and moonlight modes, which makes my fish and plants look vibrant while mimicking natural cycles. The built-in timer is a game-changer—it automatically switches between lighting modes, so I don’t have to worry about turning it on or off. The adjustable brightness lets me fine-tune the lighting depending on the time of day or the needs of my aquarium. It’s energy-efficient and runs cool, which is great for maintaining a stable tank temperature. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned aquarist, this light offers excellent value and performance. My tank looks brighter, healthier, and more dynamic since I installed it. Highly recommended!
