Perfect emergency torch.
It’s an emergency torch for one reason only: the tedious battery replacement/ charging. I paired it with Panasonic eneloop pro for good charge hold capacity. The brightness is good for the cost.Has lasted me over 4 months now.Build is very sturdy. The only drawback is the flimsy and cumbersome AA battery holder.A rechargeable option would have been wonderful. Also it cant hold Li-ion batteries.

A great flashlight for home, garage & garden
Not that it is used all the time - but when you need extra light this flashlight is brilliant. Its high quality and sturdy manufacture - made by USA company Gear Light. With 4 standard AA batteries - and LEDs - it lasts a long time.Very handy around the car, garage, and while working in the house...

Is This the Most Perfect Light Ever Made? I Think Maybe It Is
I bought this for travel, as many of my trips take me to the woods or to jungles where being sure I have light is a big deal. I also like to find owls and other night animals and was looking for a light that could also do that. This thing is AMAZING! As a general purpose light, it is easy to use, compact enough to pack easily (for me anyway), and has plenty of lumens to see anything. As a spotlight, it has the power of a thousand suns! Of course I am exaggerating, but I bet there are at least a few blind owls in the forest because they dared look directly at the beam. (Side Note: Please PM me if you see any owls with white canes.) I have used a few different spot lights over the years, and this beats all of them when considering brightness, compactness, beam narrowing, and weight. I darn near got bit by a puff adder in Africa this past year, and the light allowed me to get a great picture of the snake in the blackest night (after I got away from it of course).I was recently in Ghana with a nature guide who has seen many, many spotlights brought with his clients. He LOVED this light; He kept talking about it, so I left it with him to keep. You would have thought I gave him a half-million dollars...his face absolutely lit up (pun intended) with joy. When I got home, I bought another for myself. If there was a negative, it would be that it requires 4AA batteries to use. That said, a set of batteries seems to last a long time with this unit. Personally, I don't mind carrying a few extra batteries to have the capability that this unit gives me.Buy this light if any of the things above apply to you, it is one of the best things I have bought for travel.
