Would I benefit from using this or the leather conditioner on a NEW motorcycle vest? I don't plan on riding in the rain

I believe leather conditioner keeps the leather soft and supple. The Obenauf's is a leather preservative and it's purpose is to protect the leather from various environmental elements that can damage the leather. It will work great for your leather vest because when you wear it when you ride, it is exposed to the air, the road grime, the pollution, the sun etc.

Has anyone used this on leather auto seats? I used it on my boots and loved it, but I do not want to change the color of my MIata seats.

I used it in my Yukon with good results just use a little as automotive seat leather has a clear protective coating. Also, never use a cleaner/conditioner product. There is no such thing as the cleaner will still be there and will dry out your leather. It has to be one apart from the other .

how's this stuff for fine dress shoes?

Black or very dark brown dress shoes that you choose to wear in the rain. Otherwise find a good leather conditioner that is known to not darken leather. There are more than one on the market that are not supposed to. I have some very light leather and Bick 4 has not darkened them. Let's also has a product that is not supposed to darken too. Always test an in conspicuous area, especially if you own a fine dress shoe. Many years ago I learned the hard way

How many boots can one 8oz container service?

I applied 8oz to 3 pairs of 6in high steel toe boots, 2 heavy coats each, working in each coat by hand and hair dryer. It was the first time for all my boots and they soaked up every bit.

Obenauf’sレザートリートメントは

こちらの商品ですが、日本で取り扱っていたA&Fの在庫が払底したとの事で今ではAmazonでしか購入出来そうにありません。中身はといえばドイツのラナパーの成分に近い混合物に蜂の分泌物のプロポリスが入っているおかげか革製品に塗布すると強度と耐アルカリ性(焼けた木材の灰なんか)が若干上がると思われます。但し他のトリートメントと同じですが、革製品の色合いが濃くなるのはやむを得ないのはしょうがないかと。乞い願わくばこの商品がコンスタントに販売される事を祈りつつ。

Great product to protect leather. Easy to apply, works great, lasts a long time, and has a pleasant smell. One thing to note is that it will darken the leather a shade or two.

Old school very effective easy to use waterproofs treats protects & shines

This stuff is simply great, easy to use smells fine and lasts. I apply to any footwear or leather I give a darn about. It won’t last forever as a waterproof treatment, 2-3 years maybe but it will last as a leather treatment to recondition sad leather. If anyone remembers Snoseal, the whole place in oven to warn, this stuff melts on hand contact. The temp of your hand is all you need and this makes it easier to use. Like all quality products you only need a little bit. I find the process strangely relaxing.
