A few days later I was about to make a return claim, but after it had been sitting out of the packaging, all but one of the buttons returned to normal shape except for the START|STOP button. However, the unit became functional. I handed over to my 8 yr old daughter who immediately figured out how to use it and was able to set the time using the included instructions. It's not the highest quality device, but at this price point is a decent value. The small stand also broke as soon as I tried to unfold it, so for quality it gets only 3 stars.
