Overgrown [VINYL]

Superb album but I wish on vinyl that it was on one disc and not 2 with just 2 songs on one of the sides,but it does sound really good on vinyl and a good price too at under 13 pound.

This superb album is great on the Vinyl player, although I wished I had better speakers for this one.

All good and such a great deal price for a double LP.

Such a phenomenal album; James Blake has such a beautiful understanding of space and structure melodically. The growth in his music vocally is amazing, this album is on repeat the past couple weeks for me!

James Blake put's everything on this record, and surprised everything with such a mature record. Certanly on top 10 of 2013.

Again, this was purchased as a Christmas Present for someone I know. He thought it was excellent, but this is not my kind of music

On vinyl - this is incredible.. nothing else to say...

There is nothing as enjoyable as when an artist's second album is twice as good as their already great first album. This is most definitely the case here. Evocative, cool, seductive. I've seen him live a few times also and he's the real deal. Great to have it on vinyl too.

Ein Mann, ein Loop. James Blake will so viel von sich offenbaren, aber die Musik will es nicht wissen. Reduziert auf ein Minimum an Beats und abgrundtiefen Post-Dubstep-Bässen, zwischendurch auch mal mit (großartiger) Klavierbegleitung erzählt er uns von seinem Leiden an der Welt. Dagegen ist Radiohead Ballermann-Musi. Und der Anspruch von James Blake ist nicht weniger radikal: Radiohead will den Song ohne Song, Blake den Pop ohne Pop. Bei ihm hört man mitunter auch mal einen Refrain, aber die ganze Musik (?) ist so radikal, da denkt niemand an Charts oder gar Unterhaltung. Aber: Doch, das ist es. Und zwar großartige. Man kann dasitzen und zuhören, wie ein Mann verzweifelt die Welt anklagt, daß sie ihn nicht versteht. Und hey, auch rumknödeln zur Akustikgitarre ist eine Form von Reduktion, und das macht ein Dylan seit ääh 100 ? Jahren. James Blake hat einen Vision, wie Pop in 20 Jahren klingt, und das wird nicht lustig. Aber faszinierend. Und das tollste: Man kann mit dieser Musik erfolgreich sein. So erfolgreich, daß Special Guests Schlange stehen. Braucht man die? Nein. Diese Platte aber ganz sicher.

Album manifique d'un artiste très singulier. Personnellement je préfère cet LP au précédent. Sinon, rien à ajouter, le produit a été livré très rapidement, c'est parfait. La qualité était donc au rendez-vous.

James Blake comes back with this second LP with fierce ambition. It may not be as experimental as his first LP but he stays in the same genre and brings back what he does best. I was really surprised at first with RZA's presence on the third track as I thought it didn't fit really well with his style. But after listening to the album a few times I started to really enjoy it. Anyone who loved his first album will enjoy his new one. I am still listening to it everyday and it's still growing on me. 5/5
