One has to cover all non-sprayable parts of the sofa (for example wooden armrests and legs) etc, as the spray can leave stains on them that are difficult to remove. I generously applied multiple coatings of the spray and left the same to dry. Initially, the fabric felt a bit rough, but after using the sofa for a couple of days, the texture of the fabric seemed to be back to normal. Some months later, I was having packing a container of fish curry and used the sofa to hold it. Unfortunately, I managed to spill a significant amount of the gravy on to the sofa and the cushions. I was able to immediately open the cushion cover, but the only thing I could do with the sofa was to wipe it with a damp cloth. Once it dried, we found absolutely no signs of the spilled curry.
