First, let me clarify that although the name on this review is Steven, this is actually Steven's wife writing a bra review. There, honey, now the guys won't razz you. For years, I have been plagued by straps that slip down to my elbows and bras that cut and bind and leave giant welts. I tried a dozen different brands -- with underwire, without underwire, you name it. Unless it was a sports or racerback bra (which can't be worn under some styles of blouses or t-shirts, unless you like having your straps showing), I would spend my entire day pushing the straps up every minute or so. Yes, I wanted a bra that felt a little sexy...but it's hard to feel sexy when you are constantly fussing with straps, and being pinched and poked by wires and stiff elastic bands. Not to mention having a nice red indentation under the bustline and across your back when you take the bra off. I finally gave up on sexy and ordered a couple of these bras -- one a back closing style (#4693), and one that hooks in front (#4695B). I'm here to tell you that sexy-looking bras are overrated! COMFORT IS sexy. I don't know how the folks at Playtex do it, but they have made the first bra I have owned in 25 years that is comfortable, and the straps stay in place! And without wires! It doesn't look radically different, but it sure FEELS radically different from any bra I've ever worn. Being comfortable and having enough lift and support makes me feel more confident and relaxed -- hence sexier, even with the extra pounds that I'm still working to take off. Other reviewers have mentioned that the bra can't be worn under low-cut blouses, and I've found that somewhat true. You can use one of those fake camisole fronts to solve the problem. Also there is a bit of a plasticky smell that remains even after washing. I'd love it if they could solve that issue, because I do worry about products releasing chemicals that we end up inhaling. At some point I will try some of the other Playtex styles that have a bit more vavoom, but as far as I can see, these two styles are my basic everyday bras for life.

Relatively costly. But very good Product in all respect.

My first front-closure bra is a huge hit. The front-closure saves my bad shoulders when putting it on. The back cross-feature adds comfort and stability and may even help my posture a bit. I'm not yanking at it all day pulling it down. It covers all the important stuff for a plus-size woman. Overall, I'm quite pleased. Size 46B.

Always my favorite. I have worn Playtex bras for many years. always a good fit and comfortable to wear.
