Could an elderly woman with dementia do this or would the grooves be too small for an adult index finger?

These would be great I'd imagine. My daughter and nephew have me and his mom do it with them and our fingers fit. I have smaller fingers and my sister has bigger fingers and we both do them fine.

They really help kids calm down and they are very well made. This is my second set. I bought one set at a previous campus and when I moved I bought another set.
