I have some of those cheapo no-name POE splitters too, but those are very cheaply made and feel like junk. I'm using these for two Logitech Circle 2 cameras as child monitors. I was able to remove the adapter from the outlet and run everything through the wall. I'm going to use another one to power my Logitech Harmony Hub. So yeah, this just works. It powers USB devices using your POE switch. Review: Actually using this for a UBNT camera. - So UBNT makes no sense sometimes. Everything as far as I can remember for over 15 years of using their devices have always had the option to be powered by POE. Then they come up with cameras that are wireless but powered by USB. So yes I have ethernet everywhere but no power outlet. Why make an outdoor camera that works via wireless but you have to somehow run power to it as well. This is where this comes into play as a fantastic solution to the problem you never knew you had. So far flawless for almost two months. Someone mentioned that if you use this to power a UBNT camera it then will be configured to work over Ethernet and not work with wireless anymore so far I have not seen any ability to do that and it is still using wireless. This allowed me to not run each USB to an outlet, but into the attic to a CAT5e cable.
